Question: What are your main working languages?
Answer: Georgian, English, German, and Romanian languages.
Question: Do you usually interpret with a partner or by yourself?
Answer: In the case of the English language, I primarily interpret alongside my tandem partner, Ketevan Tvalavadze, especially during events that extend beyond two hours.
Question: Which notable events have you interpreted for?
Answer: Top rank meetings with the governments of Romania and the Republic of Moldova, Frankfurt Book Fair and film festivals. I have to mention that I interpret events concerning various subjects and I always learn something new and exciting.
Question: Do we have to provide you with the event materials in advance?
Answer: If you have materials in advance, it is of course, perfect but most of the times, a schedule is more than enough for my preparation.
Question: What is consecutive interpretation? I have never heard of it, could you please explain to me?
Answer: Consecutive interpretation means when a speaker says a few sentences at a time or keeps speaking for 2 minutes and makes pauses for the interpreter to have time slots for interpretation. However, it happens that a speaker keeps talking for 5 minutes which is not a problem for me either.
Question: Do we have to provide you with materials in advance?
Answer: If you have materials in advance, it is of course, perfect but most of the times, a schedule is more than enough for me.
Question: Which software has a feature for simultaneous interpretation?
Answer: There are a number of software programs and applications for this but the most well-known are Zoom and Microsoft Teams applications.
Question: Do you have experience in online interpretation as well?
Answer: Yes, I have been actively using these tools since December, 2019.
Question: Do you also interpret for Chinse or Tajiki languages?
Answer: Not yet.
Question: Would you translate conversations with a foreigner girlfriend/boyfriend of mine?
Answer: I would consider it.
